Use the same small task to compare
Try a specific request such as “Use these trousers and flats for a casual dinner; I need a warm layer and do not want to shop.” Compare whether the answer follows those constraints, uses clothes you have, explains its choices and lets you correct a mismatch. This is a suggested evaluation exercise, not a test we claim to have conducted.
Where Style by Cher loses
Cher is iPhone-only and its shared credits limit how much AI work the free plan supports. Other apps offer different free allowances, broader planning tools or virtual try-on workflows. If you want a human professional rather than AI advice, Indyx’s separate stylist service is a different option worth considering.
What AI cannot establish from a photo
An image may help explain visible color, layering and proportions. It cannot reliably measure garment sizing, fabric quality or comfort. Generated try-on imagery can also change garment details. Use the output as an idea to assess, then try the actual outfit and decide for yourself.
